2012 Season is Starting

Okay, it's snowing outside this morning but we are thinking of seeds and planting in spite of that. It's shaping up to be a cold spring but we are always hopeful of starting in June. Now is the time to send in your deposit and first months payment. Pray for spring to include some sunshine and drier weather!

Almost Ready!!

All the plants are in the garden and the sun is shining!! Things are growing and I think we can begin harvesting peas and potatoes in another week. So this week there is lettuce, swiss chard and broccoli if anyone wants to come on out for a visit. The real boxes will start the week of July 4.

The weather is improving and veggies are growing!

The veggies are growing!! We are setting out more of the warm weather plants this week. Beans and corn are up and the peas are ready to start climbing so we have a lot to do in the garden. All the warm weather plants in the greenhouse will go out this week.

The New 2011 Season Begins!

Welcome to our third CSA season!! With all the cool weather last year, we're sure to have a warmer and drier growing season this year, right? We are currently planting seeds in our greenhouse to get plants started and hopefully, our year will start in June. Dan and our grandson, Colton, spread compost and lime and then cultivated the garden on the only dry day last week, Friday. There is so much to do, so pray for some good weather. Potatoes can go in as soon as the ground warms up a bit. Peas, onions, carrots, lettuce and radishes can go in right away if we can work the ground. So we need a couple dry days in a row!

Reservations can begin right away and our goal is only 30 shares, so get your reservation fee plus the first month to us as soon as possible.
